But seriously this recipe is so easy and so delicious and with living on the West Coast, we have access to some of the best mussels around! Don’t forget to have crusty bread on hand to dip… drool!


Mussels in White Wine Shallot Sauce

*Servings: 2 (as an appetizer)

Ingredients:

  • 300g mussels
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 shallot, diced
  • 2 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  1. Coat the bottom of a pan with olive oil and heat until shimmering
  2. Add shallots and garlic and cook until garlic is fragrant and shallots are translucent (about 3 minutes)
  3. Add white wine and bring to a boil
  4. Reduce the heat and add mussels and covering, cooking for 5-7 minutes until mussels are opened
  5. Once mussels are cooked (they have opened), add cream and stir to combine
  6. Serve with crusty bread for dipping
