There’s no better way to say “Oh Canada” than with an excellent Caesar in hand. It’s classic; it’s delicious and… it comes with a little appetizer in the glass.

Classic Canadiana Caesar

===========

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes

*Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. vodka
  • 4 cups of clamato juice (or you can use premade Walter's Caesar Mix - if you do this, ignore the indredients below until celery salt)
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 2 tsp. horseradish (more or less to taste)
  • Celery Salt
  • Lime, cut into slices
  • Ice Cubes
  • Melting Chocolate
  • Bacon
  • Pepper
  • Optional fixins: pepperocinis, banana peppers, pepperoni sticks, olives, celery stalk

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon until crispy
  2. Melt chocolate in the microwave, mixing until well melted
  3. Lay bacon onto a plate and coat with the melted chocolate
  4. Place in freezer until ready to serve
  5. Rim the glasses with the lime wedge, so it becomes nice and sticky
  6. Pour celery salt onto a plate and rub the rims onto the salt to get a nice thick coating on the rims
  7. In a martini shaker, add ice, clamato, vodka, Worcestershire, horseradish, and lime juice and shake until well mixed, but not too long so that the ice begins to melt
  8. Pour into prepared glasses
  9. Season with pepper
  10. Add one slice of chocolate-covered bacon to the glass
  11. Add the Fixin's on a skewer or toothpick
